After a successful career in sevens, Specman transitioned to 15s rugby, competing with the Cheetahs in the Pro 14 competition and earning bronze medals at both the Rio (2016) and Paris (2024) Olympics.

The Mike Friday Select 7s team will also feature notable players such as former Irish 7s captain Harry McNulty and American player Matai Leuta, alongside a strong contingent of Fijian talents, including Lasaro Bogisa, Jope Tikoilepanoni, and Iowane Teba. The tournament will consist of a total of 44 teams, including 16 men’s, 16 youth, and 12 women’s teams, showcasing a blend of local and international talent.
