The upcoming McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s tournament is generating great excitement as it may serve as a farewell appearance for famed sevens rugby veterans Jerry Tuwai and Rosko Specman. Set to take place from January 16 to 18, 2025, at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka, the event will showcase the talents of the Mike Friday Select 7s team, featuring not only Tuwai and Specman but also other notable players such as Harry McNulty and Matai Leuta.

Tuwai, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, is celebrated for his unparalleled skill and leadership. A revered figure in Fiji rugby, he recently added a silver medal from the Paris Summer Olympics in 2024 to his accolades. Specman, known for his blazing speed and agility during the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, has made a significant impact as a key player on the South African team that clinched the World Series title in the 2017/2018 season.

This tournament marks a special occasion as Tuwai and Specman will play alongside each other for the first time, after years of competing as rivals.
