The Lami Beach Soccer team delivered an impressive performance, defeating the Suva team 10-1 during the Digicel Fiji Southern Beach Soccer League held at the Fiji Sports Council pitch in Laucala Bay, Suva yesterday.
The Lami players showcased their skill and dominance, leaving their opponents with little opportunity to compete. Team manager Kajal Prasad noted that despite some issues with coordination, her players still performed admirably, demonstrating their ability to adapt and improve during the match.
Following their victory, the Lami team was in high spirits, with Prasad expressing enthusiasm for the tournament experience. This year marked the team’s debut in the beach soccer league.
Prasad highlighted the ongoing preparations for the team, sharing her aspirations for them to participate in the Oceania Football Championship (OFC) in the future. She reaffirmed her confidence in the players, noting their potential and expressing hope that they would eventually represent the national team.
