Labasa is set to welcome a new commercial office complex valued at $2.1 million. The project, initiated by Vinesh Dayal, managing director of VCORP Pte Limited, began last month. The two-story complex will be situated on Sangam Avenue Street, directly across from the Sangam College of Nursing and Health Care Education in Labasa Town.

Mr. Dayal, who is also the owner of several local businesses including LunchBox Restaurant Limited, Hotel North Pole, and Vualiku Hotel and Apartments, stated that the investment aims to provide local business operators with much-needed office space.

The project, which is being developed by an in-house construction company, is anticipated to be completed by December 2024, with the office space available for occupancy starting January 2025. According to Mr. Dayal, the complex will cover an area of 600 square meters and aims to introduce an exciting brand from Viti Levu, enhancing the value of Labasa.

Mr. Dayal expressed his confidence in the country’s economy and its potential for growth, emphasizing the ongoing creation of job opportunities and investments. He believes that Labasa has plenty to offer and is undergoing a transformation, suggesting that his role as president of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries is to inspire fellow members to take significant steps for development.
