Labasa is set to welcome a new commercial office complex valued at $2.1 million. The project, initiated last month by Vinesh Dayal, managing director of VCORP Pte Limited, will feature a two-story building located on Sangam Avenue Street, directly across from the Sangam College of Nursing and Health Care Education in Labasa Town.
Mr. Dayal, who also owns various businesses including LunchBox Restaurant Limited, Hotel North Pole, Vualiku Hotel and Apartments, North Pole Rental Limited, and Timber and Block Works Limited, expressed that this investment aims to provide business operators with opportunities to secure their own office spaces that may otherwise be unavailable.
The development, which is being constructed by the company’s in-house team, is anticipated to be completed by December. The office spaces are expected to be available for occupancy starting January 2025.
“This 600 square metre commercial complex will introduce an exciting brand from Viti Levu, further enhancing Labasa’s appeal,” Mr. Dayal stated. He conveyed his robust confidence in the national economy and expressed commitment to generating new job opportunities and fostering investments in the region.
Mr. Dayal emphasized the potential of Labasa, asserting that there is a market for every product and service in the town. “A visit will showcase the multitude of offerings Labasa now presents,” he noted. As president of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries, he aims to inspire other local businesses to take bold steps forward as the community continues to evolve.
