Labasa is set to welcome a new commercial office complex valued at $2.1 million. Vinesh Dayal, managing director of VCORP Pte Limited, initiated the project last month.

The planned complex will consist of a two-story building situated along Sangam Avenue Street, directly across from the Sangam College of Nursing and Health Care Education in Labasa Town.

Mr. Dayal, who also owns several businesses including LunchBox Restaurant Limited, Hotel North Pole, Vualiku Hotel and Apartments, North Pole Rental Limited, and Timber and Block Works Limited, stated, “The reason we are investing in this project is to provide opportunities for business operators who may not have secured their own office space.”

Led by an in-house construction team, the project is anticipated to be completed by December, with office space becoming available for occupancy starting January 2025.

Mr. Dayal highlighted that the 600 square meter commercial complex will introduce a new brand from Viti Levu, further enhancing Labasa’s value. He expressed his confidence in the local economy and the potential for job creation and investment, saying, “One can sell everything and anything in Labasa.”

He encouraged people to visit Labasa to witness its growth and transformation, adding, “As the president of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries, I aim to inspire other members to take significant steps forward.”
