Labasa is set to see the construction of a new commercial office complex valued at $2.1 million. The project, led by VCORP Pte Limited’s managing director Vinesh Dayal, commenced last month.
This two-storey building will be situated on Sangam Avenue Street, directly across from the Sangam College of Nursing and Health Care Education in Labasa Town. Dayal, who also owns several businesses including the LunchBox Restaurant Limited and Hotel North Pole, highlighted the aim of the project as providing business operators with their own office space, particularly for those struggling to secure such accommodations.
The complex, developed by an in-house construction team, is scheduled for completion in December. Office spaces within the new building will be available for occupation starting January 2025.
Dayal emphasized that the 600 square meter commercial facility will introduce a new brand from Viti Levu to Labasa, enhancing the town’s value. He expressed strong confidence in the local economy and the potential for continued job creation and investment opportunities.
“Labasa is evolving; it is important for me, as the president of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries, to lead by example for fellow members as they take significant steps forward,” he remarked.
