Labasa is set to welcome a new commercial office complex valued at $2.1 million. The project, initiated last month by Vinesh Dayal, managing director of VCORP Pte Limited, will feature a two-storey building located along Sangam Avenue, directly across from the Sangam College of Nursing and Health Care Education in Labasa Town.
Dayal, who also owns several businesses including LunchBox Restaurant Limited, Hotel North Pole, and Vualiku Hotel and Apartments, expressed the motivation behind this investment. “We aim to provide opportunities for business operators who have struggled to find their own office spaces,” he stated.
The construction, led by an in-house team, is scheduled for completion by December, with the office space anticipated to be available for occupancy from January 2025. Dayal described the 600 square metre complex as an exciting addition to Labasa that would introduce a new brand from Viti Levu, enhancing the town’s value.
“I’m confident in our economy and our people. We will persist in creating new job opportunities and investments,” he added. Dayal emphasized that Labasa has a lot to offer and encouraged people to visit to witness the town’s transformation firsthand. “As president of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries, I strive to set a positive example for other members to take bold steps forward,” he concluded.
