Host Labasa secured the U14 title at the 2024 Fiji Primary Schools Inter District Championship (IDC) held at Subrail Park yesterday. The team, coached by Sachin Deo, triumphed over Nadi with a final score of 1-0, thanks to striker Solomone Driver, who netted the winning goal in the second half. This victory is significant for the young players, as they had missed out in the semifinals the previous year. Additionally, it comes on the heels of the main district team’s recent IDC success in Lautoka. In the Girls Division, the title also remains in the North, with Bua edging past Labasa 2-1 in a penalty shootout after a closely fought final.
