Host Labasa secured the U14 title at the 2024 Fiji Primary Schools Inter District Championship (IDC) held at Subrail Park yesterday. Under the guidance of coach Sachin Deo, the team triumphed over Nadi with a close score of 1-0 in an exciting final, thanks to a second-half goal from striker Solomone Driver. This victory was particularly meaningful for the young players, who had been eliminated in the semifinals the previous year. Additionally, it aligns with the main district team’s recent IDC victory in Lautoka. In the Girls Division, the title remained in the Northern region as Bua outperformed Labasa in a nail-biting final, winning 2-1 on penalties.
