Labasa Surges to Top of Digicel Fiji Premier League Table

Labasa has ascended to the top of the Digicel Fiji Premier League standings after a dramatic come-from-behind victory against Nadroga in their Round 11 clash at Subrail Park.

With the addition of Solomon Islanders Tigi Molea and Fordney Junior, the Babasiga Lions entered the match as favorites. However, Nadroga took an early lead with a goal from Stewart Toata, making it 1-0 at halftime.

In the second half, veteran striker Christopher Wasasala equalized from the penalty spot. Fordney Junior then secured the win for Labasa with a late goal, sealing a 2-1 triumph.

Sponsored by Extra Supermarket, Labasa now sits atop the table with 24 points, one point ahead of Extra Rewa, who are set to face Suva tomorrow.
