Labasa is set to welcome a new commercial office complex valued at $2.1 million. The project, initiated by VCORP Pte Limited’s managing director Vinesh Dayal last month, will feature a two-story building situated on Sangam Avenue Street, directly across from Sangam College of Nursing and Health Care Education in Labasa Town.

Mr. Dayal, who also runs several businesses including LunchBox Restaurant Limited, Hotel North Pole, Vualiku Hotel and Apartments, North Pole Rental Limited, and Timber and Block Works Limited, explained that the objective behind this investment is to offer business operators a chance to secure their own office space, which may have been previously out of reach.

With construction led by its in-house team, the project is anticipated to be completed by December. Office space within the complex is expected to be available for occupancy starting January 2025.

“This 600 square meter commercial complex will introduce an exciting brand from Viti Levu, enhancing Labasa’s appeal,” Mr. Dayal remarked. He expressed strong confidence in the local economy, stating a commitment to creating new job opportunities and attracting investments.

Mr. Dayal emphasized the commercial potential of Labasa, encouraging people to visit and witness the town’s transformation firsthand. “As the president of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries, I feel it is essential to lead by example and inspire fellow members to take significant steps forward,” he added.
