Labasa is set to welcome a new $2.1 million commercial office complex. The project, initiated by VCORP Pte Limited managing director Vinesh Dayal, began construction last month. This two-story complex will be located along Sangam Avenue Street, directly across from the Sangam College of Nursing and Health Care Education in Labasa Town.
Dayal, who also owns several local businesses including LunchBox Restaurant Limited, Hotel North Pole, Vualiku Hotel and Apartments, North Pole Rental Limited, and Timber and Block Works Limited, emphasizes the importance of providing office space for business operators who may have struggled to secure their own.
The development, managed by the company’s in-house construction team, is expected to reach completion by December. The office space is anticipated to be available for occupancy starting in January 2025.
“This 600 square meter commercial complex will introduce a vibrant brand from Viti Levu, enhancing the value of Labasa,” Dayal said. He expressed strong confidence in the local economy and the potential for continued job creation and investment opportunities.
Dayal advocates for the commerce and industry growth in Labasa, stating that the town has much to offer and is undergoing significant transformation. As the president of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries, he aims to inspire fellow members to pursue ambitious ventures.
