Labasa is set to welcome a new commercial office complex valued at $2.1 million. Vinesh Dayal, managing director of VCORP Pte Limited, initiated the project last month. The planned two-storey building will be situated on Sangam Avenue Street, directly across from the Sangam College of Nursing and Health Care Education in Labasa Town.
Mr. Dayal, who also owns several local businesses including LunchBox Restaurant Limited and Hotel North Pole, explained that the investment aims to provide business operators with the opportunity to secure their own office spaces. The construction, led by the company’s in-house team, is anticipated to conclude by December, with the office space ready for occupancy in January 2025.
“This 600 square metre commercial complex will introduce a new brand from Viti Levu, enhancing the value of Labasa,” Mr. Dayal stated, expressing confidence in the local economy and the nation’s potential. He emphasized his commitment to creating job opportunities and further investments in the region.
Mr. Dayal noted that Labasa offers a vibrant market for various products and services. “Visitors will be amazed at what Labasa has to offer,” he stated, highlighting the town’s ongoing transformation. As the president of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries, he aims to inspire fellow members to embark on their own significant ventures.
