Labasa is set to welcome a new commercial office complex worth $2.1 million. The project, initiated by VCORP Pte Limited managing director Vinesh Dayal, began construction last month. Situated along Sangam Avenue Street, the two-story building will be located across from the Sangam College of Nursing and Health Care Education in Labasa Town.
Mr. Dayal, who also owns LunchBox Restaurant Limited, Hotel North Pole, Vualiku Hotel and Apartments, North Pole Rental Limited, and Timber and Block Works Limited, expressed his motivation for this investment. “The reason we are investing into this project is to provide opportunities for business operators to have their own office space if they haven’t been able to secure it,” he stated.
The project, managed by an in-house construction team, is expected to be completed by December, with the office spaces available for occupancy starting January 2025. Mr. Dayal described the complex as a 600 square meter facility that will introduce an exciting brand from Viti Levu to enhance the value of Labasa.
“I have a lot of confidence in our economy, beloved nation, and our people, and we will continue to create new job opportunities and investments,” he noted. Mr. Dayal emphasized that Labasa has much to offer, asserting that “one can sell everything and anything in Labasa.” He encouraged visitors to experience the transformation of Labasa firsthand.
As the president of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Mr. Dayal aims to inspire other members to follow suit and take their next big steps in investment and development.
