Labasa is set to welcome a new commercial office complex valued at $2.1 million. Vinesh Dayal, the managing director of VCORP Pte Limited, initiated the project last month. The planned two-storey building will be situated along Sangam Avenue, directly across from the Sangam College of Nursing and Health Care Education in Labasa Town.

Dayal, who also owns multiple businesses including LunchBox Restaurant Limited, Hotel North Pole, Vualiku Hotel and Apartments, North Pole Rental Limited, and Timber and Block Works Limited, expressed that the investment aims to provide local business operators with opportunities for office space that may have been previously inaccessible.

The construction, led by an in-house team, is expected to be completed by December, with the office spaces ready for occupancy by January 2025. “This 600 square metre commercial complex will introduce an exciting brand from Viti Levu, enhancing the value of Labasa,” Dayal stated. He expressed strong confidence in the local economy, stating that there will be continuous creation of new job opportunities and investments.

Dayal emphasized the potential of Labasa, encouraging others to visit and witness the town’s transformation. As president of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries, he aims to set a precedent for other members to take significant steps forward.
