Labasa is set to welcome a new commercial office complex valued at $2.1 million. Managed by VCORP Pte Limited, under the direction of managing director Vinesh Dayal, construction for the project began last month.
The complex will be a two-storey building situated along Sangam Avenue, directly across from the Sangam College of Nursing and Health Care Education in Labasa Town. Vinesh Dayal owns several businesses, including LunchBox Restaurant Limited, Hotel North Pole, Vualiku Hotel and Apartments, North Pole Rental Limited, and Timber and Block Works Limited.
Dayal explained that the purpose of this investment is to offer business operators an opportunity to secure their own office space, which may have been difficult to obtain otherwise. The construction project, led by an in-house team, is anticipated to be completed by December, with office spaces ready for occupancy by January 2025.
“This 600 square metre commercial complex will introduce an exciting brand from Viti Levu, adding more value to Labasa,” said Dayal. He expressed strong confidence in the local economy and the potential for job creation and investment opportunities in the region.
Dayal also emphasized the vibrant market in Labasa, stating, “One can sell everything and anything in Labasa.” He encouraged visitors to experience the current offerings of Labasa Town, adding that the area is evolving. As the president of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Dayal aims to inspire fellow members to embrace significant opportunities.
