Labasa is set to welcome a new commercial office complex valued at $2.1 million. Vinesh Dayal, managing director of VCORP Pte Limited, initiated the project last month. The complex is planned to be a two-story building situated on Sangam Avenue Street, directly across from the Sangam College of Nursing and Health Care Education in Labasa Town.

Mr. Dayal, who also owns several businesses including LunchBox Restaurant Limited and Hotel North Pole, stated that the project aims to provide business operators with access to office space that they might find hard to secure otherwise. The in-house construction company leading the project aims for completion by December.

The office space is projected to be available for occupancy starting January 2025. Mr. Dayal remarked that the 600 square meter commercial complex would introduce a new brand from Viti Levu, enhancing the value of Labasa. He expressed confidence in the nation’s economy and its people, emphasizing the commitment to creating job opportunities and fostering investments.

Mr. Dayal is optimistic about Labasa’s transformation, encouraging both residents and visitors to explore what the town has to offer. As the president of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries, he expressed his intention to set a positive example for fellow members to take bold steps in their business endeavors.
