Labasa is set to welcome a new $2.1 million commercial office complex, a project initiated by VCORP Pte Limited’s managing director, Vinesh Dayal, last month. The development will comprise a two-storey building located on Sangam Avenue Street, directly opposite the Sangam College of Nursing and Health Care Education in Labasa Town.
Dayal, who also owns several businesses including LunchBox Restaurant Limited and North Pole Hotel, explained that the investment aims to offer business operators much-needed office space that they may currently struggle to secure. The project is being built by an in-house construction team and is scheduled for completion by December this year.
The office space is expected to be available for occupancy starting January 2025. Describing the project, Dayal stated, “It is a 600 square metre commercial complex that will bring an exciting brand from Viti Levu to add more value to Labasa.” He expressed confidence in the economy and the local community, emphasizing the potential for new job opportunities and investments.
Dayal remarked that Labasa has a vibrant market, stating, “One can sell everything and anything in Labasa,” and encouraged people to visit the town to witness its offerings firsthand. As president of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries, he aims to lead by example, inspiring fellow members to embrace significant initiatives for the town’s growth.
