Labasa FC will face challenges in their upcoming fixtures as key midfielder Ashnil Raju continues his recovery from a severe spinal injury, sidelining him for approximately one month. Raju was injured during the Extra Premier League match against Rewa a few weeks ago, which resulted in a 2-1 loss for Labasa.

Adding to the team’s hurdles, defender Sekove Naivakananumi is also unable to play this weekend due to a suspension. However, there is some good news for Labasa as forward Eparama Morica makes his return after missing the 2025 BiC Fiji FACT tournament. Similarly, goalkeeper Joji Vukaca is poised to rejoin the squad following a lengthy absence since 2024.

Under the guidance of coach Alvin Chand, the team will compete in three matches this weekend, facing Ba on Friday at 6.30 PM, Nadroga on Saturday at 5 PM, and Lautoka on Sunday at 4 PM. Despite the setbacks, the return of Morica and Vukaca aims to uplift the team as they strive for success in these challenging encounters.

Labasa has shown resilience in the face of adversity, and this weekend presents an opportunity for the remaining players to step up and demonstrate their capabilities. Fans can remain hopeful as the team’s strong spirit and determination could be key in navigating this difficult period.
