Three key players from Labasa will not participate in the upcoming Digicel Fiji Premier League Round 14 match against T/Naitasiri at Subrail Park on Saturday. Veteran utility player Taniela Waqa will be sidelined due to a knee injury, while captain Christopher Wasasala and Akeimi Ralulu are both suspended after receiving two yellow cards.
Coach Ravneel Pratap highlighted the challenges ahead, particularly with T/Naitasiri eager to escape the relegation zone, while Labasa seeks to improve their standings in the league.
“We know Naitasiri will come prepared. They’re fighting to get out of the relegation zone, and we’re fighting to climb up the ladder,” Pratap stated. “We anticipate an interesting match and hope to prove ourselves once again on home soil,” he added.
With the absence of important players, Labasa will need to rally together to achieve a win in front of their home fans. The match is scheduled to kick off at 1:30 PM.
