The prize money from the inter-district competition will be distributed among the players, according to Labasa’s head coach Ravneel Pratap. He mentioned that the team’s president, Rayaz Khan, along with other officials, is currently formulating a plan for the distribution.
“Every year that we win a tournament, our president has always stated that they never retain the winnings,” Pratap said. “They consistently allocate it to the players and officials, and this year they have also committed to sharing it with the players.”
He emphasized that this practice has been a tradition upheld by the current executives annually. “Our focus is always on achieving victory. Teamwork and mutual trust are fundamental to our success.”
Pratap expressed gratitude to their supporters for showing up in large numbers to back the team. “I would also like to extend my thanks to everyone who contributed to today’s celebration, including Extra, our main sponsor.”
He added that the victory is a source of pride not just for the team but for the entire community in the North.
