The Extra Supermarket Labasa football team returned to form with a 2-0 victory over Nasinu in their Digicel Fiji Premier League match at Subrail Park on Saturday. This win solidified Labasa’s position in second place on the DFPL points table.

Labasa striker Tigi Molea opened the scoring in the first half with a powerful shot from within the 18-yard box, giving Labasa a 1-0 advantage. Young player Jone Lalagavesi sealed the win by adding a second goal in the 80th minute.

Coach Ravneel Pratap expressed his satisfaction with the result, acknowledging the importance of maintaining their position on the points table. He noted that the players recognized the significance of the match, especially with challenging games ahead.

Labasa bounced back from two previous draws against Nadi and Tailevu/Naitasiri. They are now set to travel to Viti Levu to face Ba in Round 17.

He also congratulated Lalagavesi for scoring on his debut match, calling it a significant achievement for the young player.

In other matches, the results were as follows: Labasa 2-0 Nasinu, Tailevu/Naitasiri 1-2 Navua, Suva 4-0 Nadroga, Ba 1-0 Nadi, and Rewa 2-0 Lautoka.
