Labasa-born Forzia Begum celebrated a significant achievement today as she received her Master of Education degree, concluding a rigorous yet fulfilling academic experience. As a mother of two boys, Begum shared that juggling motherhood, family duties, and her studies presented her greatest challenges.
“I had to make a lot of sacrifices. The hardest part was making time for my studies, my family, and my research. But I’m happy I made it, and I know my boys are over the moon,” she remarked.
She made the journey from Labasa to Suva for the graduation ceremony, having just returned from an academic conference at Canterbury University in New Zealand. “I came specifically to celebrate my graduation with my family,” she noted.
Now equipped with her Master’s degree, Begum aims to explore enhanced career opportunities while continuing to support her family. She passionately encourages others who are contemplating further education to be courageous and dedicated in their pursuits.
“Go for it! Learning never stops. There will be challenges, but in the end, you’ll celebrate and say it was worth it,” she expressed.
Additionally, Begum extended her congratulations to her fellow graduates and acknowledged the vital role of her support system in helping her reach this important milestone. Her story serves as an inspiration to many, highlighting the power of perseverance and the pursuit of knowledge.
