Labasa Airport Visit: Fiji Police Chief Urges Students to Embrace Education, Discipline and Respect

Students from Lagalaga Sanatan Primary School experienced an enriching outing during their recent excursion to Labasa Airport, where they received an inspiring talk from Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu. The Commissioner took the opportunity to engage with the children, imparting valuable lessons about the core values essential for a prosperous future.

During his address, Commissioner Tudravu stressed the significance of education as the cornerstone of opportunity in Fiji. He highlighted the vital role young people will play in leading their communities in the future and underscored the importance of discipline and obedience. These traits, he noted, are instrumental in helping youth make wise choices as they mature.

The Commissioner expressed concern regarding the observed shifts in behavior among some young individuals, a change influenced by modern societal trends. He urged the students to prioritize respect for themselves, their families, and their peers, emphasizing that such respect is key to achieving a fulfilling and successful life.

The Fiji Police Force extended their well wishes to the students, encouraging them to conclude the 2025 academic year positively and safely. This excursion not only served as an educational trip but also as a heartfelt reminder of the values that can guide the youth of Fiji toward a brighter future.
