Kurt Donoghoe, the Fiji Bati international, has secured an extended contract with the National Rugby League team, the Dolphins, which will keep him with the club until the conclusion of the 2025 season. Originally expected to conclude his term with the Dolphins, Donoghoe’s impressive performance has led to an additional season being added to his tenure.
Since joining the Dolphins in 2022, he has participated in 16 matches and has represented Fiji Bati in five international games. Matt Hartigan, the Dolphins’ Head of Academy and Fijian Assistant Coach, praised Donoghoe’s work ethic and creativity, highlighting his ability to elevate the performance of his teammates. “When he plays direct and gets the ball in his hands, he’s got the creativity to make the guys around him look good,” Hartigan stated.
This contract extension not only reflects Donoghoe’s skills on the field but also signifies the Dolphins’ commitment to building a strong team foundation for the future. As he continues to develop as a player, fans will be eager to see how his contributions will shape the Dolphins’ success in the coming seasons.
