Sailesh Kumar delivered an exceptional performance to win the Meenoos-sponsored Monthly Medal at the Ba Golf Course on Sunday, achieving a remarkable nett score of 62 that positioned him at the top of a competitive field.

Kumar’s steady game and focus allowed him to outshine several prominent players in the club as they all vied for top honors across various grades. Ba Golf Club captain, Asish Chand, who himself achieved the best overall gross score of 70 along with the Longest Drive award, commended Kumar for his outstanding round. “Sailesh played a brilliant round today. A nett 62 is a strong score on this course and demonstrates his commitment to improving his game. It’s fantastic to see players performing at such a level,” Chand remarked.

In the different graded categories, Ashwin Sharma clinched the A Grade title with a nett score of 69, narrowly defeating Rajen Singh, while Raven Kumar placed third with a score of 75, also taking home the Nearest to the Pin prize. The B Grade category saw a tie for the top position, where Sunil Sharma and Christopher Daniel both finished with scores of 68, but Sharma claimed victory on countback, while Dinesh Narayan closely followed with a 69. In the C Grade division, Max Chand and Prakrit Naidu ended with scores of 69, with Max taking first place, and Yash Kumar finishing third with a score of 71.

This tournament not only highlighted the competitive spirit among local golfers but also reinforced the camaraderie fostered within the community. Such events provide a vital platform for showcasing talent, encouraging players to strive for excellence and inspiring future golfers in the region.
