In the APCO Coatings/RC Manubhai tournament at HFC Bank Stadium, Suva, former Nasinu representative Nitan Kumar scored the winning goal for Rewa Masters in their veterans over 40s final against Nadi Masters. The decisive moment came when the Nadi goalkeeper failed to catch the ball effectively.
Both teams had scoring opportunities throughout the match, but Rewa made the most of theirs to secure victory. Sudeshwar Ram, Rewa’s captain, expressed gratitude for their players and their families, noting that they had just won another tournament the previous month.
In individual accolades, Kumar was awarded the Golden Boot after scoring four goals during the tournament. Tomasi Tuivuna from Rewa Masters earned the Golden Glove, while Peter Cecil claimed the Golden Ball. Rewa Masters also received the Fair Play award. For their performance, Rewa Masters took home $3,000, and Nadi Masters was awarded $1,000 for making it to the final.
