Newly appointed Ba Head Coach Ronil Kumar is approaching the upcoming season with enthusiasm and determination. Kumar, who has a rich history with the Men in Black—having dedicated over 15 years as a player and engaged in coaching roles on multiple occasions—takes over from Timoci Seru, who struggled to lead the team to any titles during his tenure.

At 40 years old, Kumar expressed pride in being named head coach, stating, “As a true son of Ba, I am honored to mentor this team.” He recognizes the significant responsibilities and high expectations tied to his new position, acknowledging the challenges ahead. “Building a winning team is not easy; we will have to work very hard,” he remarked.

Recently, Kumar completed the OFC B-License Coaching Course, fueling his optimism about transforming the team’s fortunes following a titleless season in 2024. “I’m looking forward to working with the players to build on the successes we’ve achieved over the years. My goal is to continue to bring out the best in the team and push us to new heights in 2025,” he added.

Ba has already kicked off preparations for the season with an initial training session under Kumar’s supervision. This proactive approach not only reflects the team’s commitment to improving both performance and dynamics but also sparks hope among fans for a return to prominence in local football.

Kumar’s appointment signals a renewed focus on revitalizing the team and enhancing its competitive edge. With a proven track record, he aims to guide Ba back to being a formidable force in the league, signaling a hopeful future for the team and its supporters.

In summary, Ronil Kumar’s leadership comes at a crucial moment, and there is growing optimism that his experience and strategies will lead Ba towards success in the upcoming season. Fans can expect an exciting journey ahead as the team strives to reclaim its former glory in local football.
