Krishna’s Absence: Fiji’s Bula Boys Gear Up for Friendly Showdown

Digicel Fiji Bula Boys Captain Roy Krishna will not participate in the opening match of the FIFA International “A” Friendlies Tri-Nations Series 2024 against the Solomon Islands. Krishna is currently in India preparing for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League with Odisha FC and is expected to join the team for their second match against Hong Kong-China in Lautoka.

Team manager Kartik Reddy highlighted that the squad has entered the second week of training under the supervision of head coach Rob Sherman. “The boys are undergoing two training sessions each day, focusing on strength and conditioning in the mornings, while the afternoons are dedicated to tactical and technical training,” he stated.

Fiji is set to play against the Solomon Islands on Monday, September 2, at 7 PM at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. The Solomon Islands will then face Hong Kong-China on Thursday, September 5, at the same time and venue. Fiji’s concluding match of the series will be against Hong Kong-China on Sunday, September 8, at 3 PM at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Ticket prices are set at a flat rate of $10 for adults and $5 for children under the age of 10.
