KPMG Unveils New Tech Hub in Fiji: What’s in Store?

KPMG Enterprise has inaugurated a new technology-centered office in Garden City, Suva. This facility will accommodate part of KPMG Enterprise’s Fiji Dynamix (FDX) network, which is a specialized team dedicated to supporting KPMG’s Australian operations and its clientele.

In addition, staff from KPMG’s Connected Technology Group (CTG) will operate from this new office, concentrating on enhancing digital innovation and artificial intelligence capabilities for clients.

During the official opening, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica emphasized that the KPMG AI Build Hub signifies a commitment to adopting new technologies and creates a pathway for client support. He highlighted the potential of local talent and the pivotal role that companies like KPMG play in promoting innovation.

This new office represents KPMG’s second establishment in the past year, following the opening of the Star One office in Nadi in 2023. KPMG Enterprise’s national managing partner, Naomi Mitchell, noted that their South Pacific Practice is rapidly expanding. The office aims to meet the increasing demands for digital development and AI assistance from KPMG’s broader network.

John Munnelly, chief digital officer of KPMG Australia, stated that this office is part of a significant investment to address the rising need for digital and AI solutions, including the analytics-driven AI Build Hub. This strategic development will leverage local talent in Fiji to enhance the firm’s capabilities in a changing digital environment.

KPMG Fiji’s managing partner, Lisa Apted, shared that the new office will accommodate 40 employees skilled in software development, engineering, and AI technical services. She expressed excitement over the new location’s convenience near the CBD, allowing for the continued growth of their teams in modern facilities. KPMG also maintains an office in Suva Central.
