KPMG Enterprise has launched a new technology-oriented office in Garden City, Suva. This office will be a part of KPMG Enterprise’s Fiji Dynamix (FDX) network, comprising a team dedicated to aiding KPMG’s Australian firm and its clientele.
Additionally, employees from KPMG’s Connected Technology Group (CTG) will operate from this new location, focusing on fostering digital innovation and AI advancements for clients.
During the inauguration, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica emphasized that the creation of the KPMG AI Build Hub signifies more than just an infrastructure investment. He noted that it highlights KPMG’s dedication to adapting to new technologies and serves as a crucial link for their clients. He also acknowledged the significant potential of local talent and the essential role firms like KPMG play in nurturing innovation.
This new office marks KPMG’s second opening in Fiji within the last year, following the establishment of their Star One office in Nadi in 2023. Naomi Mitchell, national managing partner at KPMG Enterprise, mentioned that the South Pacific Practice is growing rapidly, and this office will enhance their capacity to meet the increasing demand for digital development and AI assistance from the broader KPMG network.
John Munnelly, chief digital officer at KPMG Australia, highlighted that the establishment of this office is backed by substantial investment from the firm to satisfy the rising need for digital and AI solutions, including the AI Build Hub. He stated that this strategic decision allows them to leverage the capabilities of the KPMG network in an evolving digital environment, utilizing the skills of talented Fiji-based individuals in a new AI domain.
KPMG Fiji managing partner Lisa Apted indicated that the new office will accommodate 40 professionals specializing in software development, engineering, and AI technical services. She noted that this is the second office in Suva and is ideally situated near the central business district, expressing excitement about hosting their expanding FDX and CTG teams in modern facilities. KPMG already operates an office in Suva Central.
