KPMG Enterprise has inaugurated a new technology-centered office in Garden City, Suva. This office will serve as a base for part of KPMG Enterprise’s Fiji Dynamix (FDX) network, which is a specialized team dedicated to supporting KPMG’s Australian operations and clients.
Additionally, the office will be home to staff from KPMG’s Connected Technology Group (CTG), whose focus will be on advancing digital innovation and artificial intelligence services for KPMG’s clientele.
During the official opening, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica emphasized that the launch of the KPMG AI Build Hub represents more than just infrastructure investment. He highlighted KPMG’s commitment to adopting new technologies and its role in showcasing local talent, which is essential for fostering innovation.
This new location marks KPMG’s second office opening in the last year, following the establishment of the Star One office in Nadi in 2023. National managing partner Naomi Mitchell noted that KPMG’s South Pacific Practice is experiencing rapid growth, and the new office will enhance their capability to meet the rising needs for digital services and AI support from their global business.
John Munnelly, KPMG Australia’s chief digital officer, stated that this new office is a product of considerable firm-wide investment aimed at addressing the increasing demand for digital and AI solutions, particularly through the AI Build Hub. He added that this strategic decision positions them to leverage the extensive capabilities of the KPMG network in an evolving digital environment, utilizing the expertise of local talent in Fiji.
Lisa Apted, managing partner of KPMG Fiji, mentioned that the office is designed to accommodate 40 professionals with skills in software development, engineering, and AI technical services. She expressed enthusiasm about providing state-of-the-art facilities for their expanding FDX and CTG teams, located conveniently near the central business district.
