KPMG Fiji has announced the appointment of Sharvek Naidu as its new managing partner, succeeding Lisa Apted, who has led the firm since 2020. Naidu, who began his career at KPMG’s Lautoka office in December 1997, has built an impressive resume, including a significant tenure in Australia, where he was instrumental in fostering client relationships and driving strategic growth.

With more than 25 years of experience, Naidu has been recognized by KPMG Australia’s national managing partner for Mid-Market & Private, Naomi Mitchell, for his ability to empower teams and provide exceptional value to clients both in Fiji and abroad. For the past decade, he has been a pivotal figure in KPMG Fiji’s audit and assurance practice, notably contributing to the growth of the Fiji Dynamix (FDX) delivery center, which boasts a workforce of around 200 professionals supporting KPMG Australia.

Naidu expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to build on Apted’s legacy and emphasized his commitment to both clients and staff. He reflected on his journey, which began as a graduate and led him to become a partner in 2016.

In addition to his leadership role, Naidu brings global experience from his time as a director at KPMG Global Services in Delhi, where he played a crucial role in establishing an offshoring practice for KPMG Australia. He also acknowledged the support of his wife, Sanjeeta Singh, who prioritized family while he advanced his career.

Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Financial Accounting & Management and Economics from the University of the South Pacific, Naidu is a fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a chartered accountant for FICA, and holds practicing certificates from FICA and the Institute of Solomon Islands Accountant. His dedication extends beyond corporate responsibilities, as he actively participates on several not-for-profit and educational boards, contributing to community development and health initiatives.

Naidu’s appointment marks a promising new chapter for KPMG Fiji, setting a positive tone for continued growth and innovation in the firm’s operations.
