KPMG Fiji Bolsters Growth with Appointment of Two New Partners

KPMG Fiji, a reputable accounting firm, has revealed the induction of two new partners to bolster its business expansion and development in the South Pacific. Marissa Apted and Mohammed Khan, based in the KPMG Suva office, have been welcomed into the partnership by KPMG Fiji managing partner, Lisa Apted.

Since 2021, KPMG Fiji has embarked on a growth trajectory which is evidenced by enhancements to its Fiji office network and staffing. As of July 2024, these fresh inclusions have increased the tally of partners to nine and a total of 334 staff members.

Mohammed Khan is set to serve as KPMG’s audit and assurance partner. His 14-year-long journey with the firm has armed him with rich experience from serving clients in Fiji and other Pacific Island countries. He has delved into numerous industries including superannuation, telecommunication, banking, financial services, and manufacturing.

Marissa Apted began her stint at KPMG in Sydney in 2004 as a graduate accountant. Subsequently, she transferred to the KPMG Suva office in 2016. Apted’s new position as advisory partner showcases her expertise in risk consulting, people consulting, and transaction advisory services, spread across various industries in Fiji and the Pacific.

Their partnership commencements will be effective from July 1, 2024. KPMG Fiji has demonstrated consistent growth since its amalgamation with the KPMG Australian Enterprise practice back in July 2021.
