Koroibete’s Injury Sparks Change in Wallabies Lineup Ahead of Bledisloe Cup

Fiji-born winger Marika Koroibete will miss the Wallabies’ upcoming Bledisloe Cup match due to a wrist injury he sustained during last week’s 31-28 defeat to the All Blacks in Sydney. The injury aggravated during the flight to New Zealand, resulting in increased swelling.

Koroibete’s absence paves the way for Dylan Pietsch, who will be making his first start for the Wallabies. In addition, Jake Gordon will return to the starting lineup as scrumhalf, taking the place of Nic White, who started in the previous match.

These adjustments come as Australia aims to end a 23-year winless streak against the All Blacks in New Zealand.

The Wallabies team for Bledisloe II includes Angus Bell, Matt Faessler, Taniela Tupou, Nick Frost, Jeremy Williams, Rob Valetini, Fraser McReight, Harry Wilson (c), Jake Gordon, Noah Lolesio, Dylan Pietsch, Hunter Paisami, Len Ikitau, Andrew Kellaway, and Tom Wright. Reserves are Brandon Paenga-Amosa, Isaac Kailea, Allan Alaalatoa, Lukhan Salakaia-Loto, Langi Gleeson, Tate McDermott, Ben Donaldson, and Josh Flook.
