The Koroi family is celebrating a remarkable milestone as their eldest son, Tevita Tucaketale Koroi, has been awarded the prestigious Dux award for the 2024 academic year at Queen Victoria School. The 18-year-old’s achievement is not just a personal victory but a testament to the dedication and sacrifices made by his parents in supporting his education.
Tevita expressed immense gratitude to his parents, highlighting their relentless efforts to foster his success. “Mom and dad are my inspiration. They’ve sacrificed so much for me, and their hard work motivates me to put in my best,” he shared. Originally from Raviravi, Matuku Lau, and connected to Nakasaleka, Kadavu, Tevita began his high school education at Natabua High School in Lautoka before transferring to Queen Victoria School. He faced numerous challenges during his time at QVS, but he is thankful for the experiences that led to this success.
His mother, Ravi Drodro Koroi, was visibly emotional as she expressed her gratitude to God for guiding her son’s path. “As a family, we move together, and while it was challenging to send him to QVS, we are thankful that he has achieved milestones we never dreamed possible,” she said.
