The Koroi family is set to celebrate a significant milestone in 2024 as their eldest son, Tevita Tucaketale Koroi, received the Dux award at Queen Victoria School. This prestigious recognition not only highlights Tevita’s academic excellence but also serves as a heartfelt expression of appreciation for his parents’ unwavering support and dedication.
The 18-year-old student conveyed his gratitude towards his parents, stating, “Mom and dad are my inspiration; they’ve made numerous sacrifices for me.” Tevita expressed his anticipation for this honor, crediting his faith and perseverance with his success. He had committed to daily fasting as part of his intentions to achieve this goal.
Tevita hails from Raviravi, Matuku Lau, with family ties to Nakasaleka, Kadavu. He previously studied for three years at Natabua High School in Lautoka before joining Queen Victoria School. Reflecting on his experiences, he acknowledged the challenges faced during his time at QVS but remained grateful for his accomplishments.
His mother, Ravi Drodro Koroi, openly expressed her emotional gratitude, emphasizing the importance of family unity during their journey.
