Kofana’s Injury Update: Relief Amid Six-Week Sideline

Solomon Islands and Rewa defender Leon Kofana has been diagnosed with a medial collateral ligament (MCL) injury, which is expected to keep him out of action for about six weeks. The injury took place during an international match against Hong Kong, China, last Thursday.

Initially, there were concerns that Kofana might have suffered a more serious anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, which could have sidelined him for up to six months. However, after further evaluations by the team’s medical staff, it has been confirmed that the injury is less severe than initially feared.

Kofana will miss the forthcoming DFPL matches, but the team’s revised diagnosis brings relief, as they look forward to his quick recovery and return to the game.
