Leon Kofana, a defender for the Solomon Islands and Rewa, has been diagnosed with an MCL injury that will keep him sidelined for about six weeks. The injury was sustained during an international match against Hong Kong, China, last Thursday.
Initially, there were concerns that Kofana might have suffered a more serious ACL injury, which could have resulted in a six-month absence from the game. However, recent evaluations by the team’s medical staff have provided some good news, confirming that the injury is less severe than first feared.
Although Kofana will miss the upcoming DFPL matches, the updated diagnosis gives the team hope for his quick recovery and return to playing.
