Kofana’s Injury: Relief Amidst Six-Week Sideline Challenges

Leon Kofana, a defender for the Solomon Islands and Rewa, has been diagnosed with a medial collateral ligament (MCL) injury that is expected to keep him out of action for approximately six weeks. The injury occurred during an international match against Hong Kong, China, last Thursday.

Initially, there were concerns that Kofana may have suffered a more serious anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, which would have sidelined him for at least six months. However, recent evaluations by the team’s medical staff confirmed that the injury is less severe than initially feared.

Kofana will miss upcoming fixtures in the DFPL, but the updated diagnosis has brought some relief to the team, which is now hoping for his quick recovery and return to play.
