Defending champions New Zealand All Stars bounced back in the Rams Group of Companies 10th Sanatan World Cup, securing a decisive 4-0 victory over Sigatoka in their second match held in Sydney.
After a goalless draw with Melbourne in their opening match, the team, captained by Sandeep Raj Singh, improved their performance, netting both initial goals within the first half.
Jayden Reddy opened the scoring in the 17th minute, skillfully outmaneuvering goalkeeper Ravinesh Singh to find the net. Midfielder Dhanush Chandra followed up with a powerful free-kick that slipped through the hands of a diving Singh for the second goal.
Sigatoka featured players such as Ravnesh Karan Singh, Romit Narayan, Patrick Joseph, Ravinesh Reddy, and Savinesh Mudaliar.
In the second half, New Zealand continued to dominate possession, with replacement Evinish Prasad scoring the third goal, and Reddy adding a fourth from the penalty spot, sealing the match at 4-0.
