The highly anticipated comedy film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is set to hit theaters on Friday, December 12. Fans of the original film, which was released in 2015 and enjoyed significant box office success, are eager for the return of Kapil Sharma in a leading role. This sequel promises a fresh comedic narrative, focusing on a protagonist who marries women from various religious backgrounds, adding an intriguing layer to the storyline.

Given the sensitive nature of contemporary social themes, there were concerns regarding the potential for the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to require substantial edits or cuts to the film. However, those apprehensions were largely unfounded, as the CBFC’s Examining Committee requested only one minor alteration—removing an “inappropriate” real name from a scene at the film’s outset and replacing it with a more suitable term.

Sources indicate that the film’s creators have taken great care to navigate religious and community sentiments wisely, which pleased the CBFC members. As a result, there were no further cuts or edits deemed necessary, allowing the comedic essence of the film to remain intact. The film received a U/A 16+ rating, reflecting its theme of a man with multiple wives, rather than a more lenient rating like U/A 13+ or U/A 7+.

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 was granted its censor certificate on November 25, following the implemented cut. The movie has a runtime of 142.25 minutes, making it 2 hours, 22 minutes, and 25 seconds long. Directed by Anukalp Goswami, the film features a diverse cast, including Hira Warina, Tridha Choudhary, Parul Gulati, Ayesha Khan, Manjot Singh, Akhilendra Mishra, Vipin Sharma, Sushant Singh, Jamie Lever, and the late Asrani.

As audiences eagerly await the film’s release, there is optimism that Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 will not only resonate with viewers but also push boundaries while fostering conversations around its themes.
