Fiji Bati star Viliame Kikau, a standout player during the 2024 NRL season for the Bulldogs, has received recognition for his performance by being awarded the 2024 Dr. George Peponis Medallist. After struggling through a challenging previous year with only nine appearances, the 30-year-old had one of his best seasons in the NRL. He participated in 22 matches, scoring four tries and assisting in another four, while also recording 41 offloads and breaking through the defense 10 times. Kikau made his international debut for Fiji in 2015, coming off the bench during the Melanesian Cup match against Papua New Guinea, which Fiji won 22-10 at Robina Stadium.
