The Bulldogs have successfully secured the future of star forward Viliame Kikau, extending his contract through to the end of the 2028 season. Initially signed through the 2026 campaign, Kikau’s impressive performances made him a sought-after player among rival clubs, but he ultimately chose to remain with Canterbury by signing a two-year extension.
Kikau has been instrumental in the Bulldogs’ emergence as serious contenders for the premiership, and he is eager to contribute to the team’s efforts in clinching their first title since 2004. Expressing his commitment to the club, Kikau stated, “I’m very happy to be staying at the Bulldogs. This club has embraced my family and I since day one, so it was an easy decision to re-sign.”
He emphasized his excitement about being part of a promising future at the Bulldogs. “I love being part of what we’re building here. We’ve made great progress over the past couple of years, but we want to achieve more – I want to help this club win its next premiership,” he added.
With Kikau’s talent and dedication, the Bulldogs are well-positioned to continue their upward trajectory in the NRL, and fans can look forward to exciting seasons ahead as they chase championship glory.
