The recent session attracted eager boys and girls aged six to 16, highlighting a nationwide initiative designed to nurture young football talent.

Sushil Singh, the head of football development for the southern region, shared insights about the program’s launch earlier this week. It will run through the upcoming first term and school holidays, inviting both returning participants and newcomers who wish to explore football. “This program is open to all young boys and girls, and we’ve actively promoted it on social media to reach parents,” Singh stated.

In addition to the session in Suva, complimentary football programs are being introduced in other regions, such as Lautoka, where children aged seven to 15 can participate without any fees.
