The first-ever McDonald’s Inter-District Championship is set to begin, uniting 492 young footballers from all over Fiji for a significant competition. The tournament will include teams from nine districts across four age categories: U-9, U-11, U-13, and U-15.
The districts taking part are Labasa, Dreketi, and Seaqaqa from the Northern region; Rewa, Suva, and Navua from the Southern region; and Ba, Lautoka, and Nadi from the Western region.
This thrilling championship seeks to develop young football talent nationwide and will take place at the Nasinu Muslim Primary & Secondary School Grounds in Nakasi. The event is scheduled to run from Friday, September 6, to Sunday, September 8.
Filimoni Vosarogo, the Minister for Lands & Mineral Resources, will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony, adding significance to this inaugural occasion.
