Ba Rugby Union is set to launch the Ba Industries Limited Tikina Championship on September 21. In an announcement, the BRU has urged all teams from the Tikina region to become acquainted with World Rugby regulations.
The BRU emphasized that all managers, coaches, and players should understand the guidelines regarding the technical zone. According to the regulations, only four individuals are allowed in the technical zone, consisting of a maximum of two medically trained personnel and two designated water carriers. While these water carriers can also serve as assistant coaches, the head coach is strictly prohibited from being part of the designated four. No other individuals or players are allowed in the technical zone.
The 2024 Tikina Championship will implement the World Rugby Law changes that were unveiled in July. These changes include modifications to offside rules concerning a kicker, the elimination of the crocodile roll, and the removal of the scrum option when a free kick is awarded.
