Fiji’s Cruiserweight Boxing Champion, Alifereti Kauyaca, delivered a strong performance but ultimately lost to New Zealand’s Cruiserweight Champion, John Parker, in a points decision during the WBA Oceania Title match. The bout occurred at Globox Arena in Hamilton, New Zealand, where Parker secured the victory.
Despite many boxing enthusiasts believing Kauyaca exhibited superior skills in the match, he fell short in the tenth round. John Parker, who is the brother of well-known Heavyweight boxer Joseph Parker, emerged victorious after a challenging fight.
Following the match, Kauyaca took to social media to express his thankfulness to the Lord for His guidance throughout the contest. He also extended his gratitude to his support team and congratulated John Parker on his triumph.
Although the result was not what he had hoped for, Kauyaca is resolved to return stronger in upcoming competitions.
