Deputy Prime Minister Manoa Kamikamica has expressed his strong support for Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka and the People’s Alliance party, urging those contemplating the formation of a new party to resign immediately.
Kamikamica stated, “Leave now and don’t let that door hit you on the way out.” He emphasized that dissenters lack respect for the significant efforts made to ensure democratic stability.
He criticized those who disregard the votes of the tens of thousands of Fijians who supported the Prime Minister and the vision of the People’s Alliance. Kamikamica affirmed that there is no place for instability or personal agendas that undermine national unity.
He vowed to respond firmly to any threats against the government and party, saying, “The efforts of those attempting to destabilise our Government will be met with unwavering resolve.” He also addressed online critics, wishing them “good luck and goodbye.”
Kamikamica reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining Fiji’s stability and prosperity for future generations, highlighting that their current initiatives are essential for economic growth, social unity, and a stronger future. He concluded by asserting that they will not allow anyone to hinder their vision for the country, stating, “Together, we will move forward. Together, we will build the Fiji we all deserve.”
